THE GAME OF THE YEAR - DEMON’S SOULS
How could a toughest game grab so much people and become the game of the year in the recently conducted survey with the gamers. Demon’s souls, just as the name suggests is the Role Playing Game which definitely takes hundreds of hours to compete the game not because of the game length but its difficulty. This is an uncompromising RPG of the highest order–and a brilliant, atmospheric, and visionary one. It is at once old-fashioned and innovative, a stubbornly difficult dungeon crawler loaded with wholly unique mechanics and physics. Demon’s Souls is a stark and sulky beauty and is one of the finest games of 2009.
The game starts with five worlds to explore in compete darkness and a kind of sinister atmosphere that will drive you in and especially the sound tracks will make you believe that you are not in this world at all and you are the one who is going to jump and fight in the dark world. Each world feels and looks authentic, as does the hub world (called the Nexus) from which you access them.it would have been a compete flawless game as far as graphics when there is some lip movements when people speaks.
If the first few minutes of the tutorial don’t betray the challenges in store for you, the same level’s gargantuan end boss certainly will. You are meant to die, and you are meant to die often. That is the game’s motto to be simple. You will die more than the time you actually click the attack button on your controller :). Souls are the game’s currency, and the primary way of accumulating them is to kill demons. You can return to the location of your death and touch the bloodstain you left behind, which returns the lost souls to you. Be careful, though: if you die on your way to your bloodstain, it will dissipate and be gone forever, along with all your hard-won souls.

The monsters may be tough, but the game grants you the flexibility you need to take them on as you see fit. The bosses are tougher than you actually think but the amazing physics and AI will drive you in completely such that at one moment you will lose your temper and start screaming to take revenge against it and that’s when you beat it.
Rarely will mindlessly hacking and slashing get you anywhere, unless death is your ultimate goal. You need to contemplate every move, swing only when you are sure you won’t be countered, and switch weapons or use items only when you are sure your window of opportunity is wide enough.
If you crave true innovation, a fair but relentless challenge, and gripping exploration in which every step has consequences, then you crave Demon’s Souls. And if you want a time to live and not play a game as a true braveheart then here is your deal:). Cheers!
