HEART ATTACK – ‘JUST’ AN ATTACK

The heart attack or myocardial infarction (they call that way in medical science) is the interruption of blood supply to part of the heart, causing some heart cells to die. This is most commonly due to occlusion (blockage) of a coronary artery following the rupture of a vulnerable atherosclerotic plaque, which is an unstable collection of lipids (fatty acids) and white blood cells (especially macrophages) in the wall of an artery. It is not wrong in knowing the symptoms of heart attack because anyone can get it anytime and though it is most probable in older people this does not have any age bar. Also, people have a bad attitude not to know about any diseases just because of the silliest reason “that you have the fear of getting it when you talk about it”. It can also occur due to some heart disease so take care of your cholesterol intake.
Forget all those petty superstitious beliefs and know the symptoms:
· Sudden chest pain (typically radiating to the left arm or left side of the neck)
· shortness of breath
· Nausea and vomiting
· Palpitations
· Sweating
· Fatigue
· Anxiety, etc
Now, the point here is not to think ab
out what will happen when we get, but it is shrewd to think how we can save ourselves when it comes. So, the coward will have fear of death and will eventually die of cardiac arrest but t
he shrewd will find a way to show that if something done at the miraculously set jiffy then we can save ourselves.

There is something called Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) which can show you the difference between life and death in juts few minutes. It is nothing wrong in buying one and keeping in one easily accessible safe place at home. This doesn’t mean that you will have to get an arrest, it is something like an extinguisher kept in all offices, but does that mean you company had to churn in fire? No, obviously. AED is something similar to that.
Now, you can all say heart attack – “just” an attack. Take care!
